2024 Ling College Resident Student Association Transitional Election and Recruitment Notice
Over the past year, RSALC have hosted a variety of exciting events, including the Halloween Party, the Chinese New Year Market, and a educational excursion trip to Beijing, all of which received enthusiastic support from Ling College students. Additionally, RSALC have continually improved our feedback channels by collecting suggestions from students through email and surveys, receiving unanimous praise.
RSALC sincerely invite every student interested in the Ling College Resident Student Association of Ling College to run for the new executive committee! This is a great opportunity to showcase your leadership and organizational skills.
According to the regulations of Ling College student organizations, to provide more students with opportunities to broaden their horizons and develop their organizational abilities, the registration period will be open from July 26 to August 9. Ling College students can fill out the registration form and send it to ling@cuhk.edu.cn to complete their registration (see detailed information below). After the registration deadline, democratic elections will be held to elect the new executive committee of the Resident Student Association.

Positions and Requirements
Executive Committee is the executive committee consists of three members, serving as the President, Vice President, and Secretary-General.
President: Chief representative of the Resident Student Association, responsible for its management and operations.
Vice President: Assists the President in managing the daily affairs of the Resident Student Association and can perform the President's duties in their absence.
Secretary-General: Responsible for internal management of the Resident Student Association.
The executive committee will be elected by a one-person-one-vote system among the Ling college’s students and faculty, with each person supporting one candidate cabinet. Upon completion of the election, the Master of Ling College will officially appoint the new executive committee.

Application Method
Participants who are interested in should have one team member submit the application form to the Ling College official email (ling@cuhk.edu.cn). The application form can be downloaded from the email attachment.

Interview Notification
The time and location of the interviews will be announced separately. Please stay tuned for further emails.
Election Process
Step 1
Form a team of three members, distributing the roles of President, Vice President, and Secretary-General. Complete the registration form together and send it to the Ling College official email to complete the registration. (from July 26 to August 9)
Step 2
The Ling College Office will conduct a preliminary screening of the registration materials. (Mid-August)
Step 3
Candidate cabinets will promote their campaigns within the college. (Late August)
Step 4
An offline presentation and Q&A session will be held, followed by a real-name voting process. The results will be announced publicly. (Early September)
Step 5
The executive committee will complete the recruitment of ministers and new members. (Mid-September)
Notes:
Students who are interested in participating in the Resident Student Association but do not wish to run for the executive committee can be recruited by the executive committee after the election.
