Aesthetic Stroll | Humanistic Campus: A Review of the Lecture on Architectural History and Innovative Practices
What was the construction process of Peking University’s campus? On December 7th, Professor Tang Keyang, author of From the Wasteland to the Yanyuan, and a renowned scholar, will visit Ling College's "Aesthetic Stroll" series to guide everyone through the architectural history and innovative practices of the campus. He will discuss the multiple connections between architecture and education, culture and environment, history and innovation.

Professor Tang has continuously crossed disciplinary boundaries, from Comparative Literature at Peking University to Art History at the University of Chicago and Architecture at Harvard. He engages in writing, translating, curating, and designing, establishing himself in multiple careers, adept at navigating art creativity, scholarly research, and urban practice.

The tangible buildings shape our warm memories of the "campus" in intangible ways. In the face of the familiar "everyday" we inhabit daily, do you know how a campus environment that combines functionality with humanistic sentiment is created?

This time, we will embark on a wonderful "walk" with Professor Tang, exploring the historical changes and cultural connotations of campus architecture.

After the lecture, students actively asked questions and interacted with Professor Tang.

Professor LU Zongli, the master of Ling College, presented Professor Tang with the "Scholar of Ling College" plaque.
